This house experienced a major first floor renovation: 700 foot addition as well as 450 feet of existing space renovated. This family of six wanted more room in the kitchen as well as a more communal flow for their dinning area. Walls were removed and extended transforming this confined kitchen into a vast dinning and kitchen area.
Two glass doors and multiple windows along the walls of the dinning room add natural light while providing easy access and a pleasant view of their brand new deck. The natural lighting adds an overwhelming feeling of comfort and solace to this open space. The large island adds extensive counter and storage space. This island is fully functional complete with electric outlets. This cooperative island also serves as a convenient breakfast nook.
The stainless steel appliances add a proper contrast to the warmth of the wood cabinets, dining set and floor.
Connected to the dinning room the Hadley’s enjoy a quit work space. The family requested this first floor office so that they would not be removed from family’s main living areas and so they could have a clear view of the pool area. Electric outlets were placed on the floor to create a cleaner look and avoid computer cords attached to the walls. The office has a great view of the backyard via double windows and a glass door that leads to the deck.
A variety of lighting enhances this beautiful interior; modern light fixtures add style and elegance to this charming home. Recessed lighting is a perfect way to set the mood for a more formal dining experience. Under cabinets lighting is an essential ingredient in assisting you create that perfect culinary masterpiece. Connecting the kitchen and garage a functional and aesthetically pleasing mud room was added to preserve this immaculate kitchen whiling keep jackets, mittens, and boots organized.
