Blossom

This kitchen was in desperate need of a major face lift and a superior space utilization layout. When reviewing plans with the home owner, we wanted to incorporate her lifestyle and personality. With three children of her own, one grand child and one more on the way she wanted to be able to cook large meals comfortably for her growing family.

The dimensions of this kitchen are 9’ by 12’; space was minimal. To open up the feel of the room the drop ceiling was removed and a four foot by four foot opening was cut out of the shared dining room wall. This space added natural light from the western exposure and improved the aesthetics of this traditional kitchen by giving it a contemporary look.

The refrigerator was built into the back wall creating maximum space on all sides of the island. The island was created with multiple storage compartments and is equipped with electric. The island also added much needed counter space. The island is aligned with the Kohler deep well sink for optimal usability. Dark laminate counter tops were added to give an elegant feel. The granite floor ensures a durable product that is easy to clean while providing timeless beauty. The back splash features a pleasing inlay tile design.

A breakfast nook was strategically located on the wall looking into the dining room.

Lighting is the quintessential ingredient in showcase a beautiful kitchen; under counter lighting, soffit accent lighting with custom crown modeling and a custom octagon ceiling fan lighting unit adds charm and warmth to this contemporary kitchen.
